Two different companies doing the same thing
BigRock is part of the Newfold group and is primarily a domain registrar with hosting alongside it. As of September 2026 it has also absorbed HostGator India, whose hosting pages now redirect to BigRock. Hostinger is a hosting company that also sells domains. That shapes the products: BigRock's domain tools are strong and its hosting is cPanel shared hosting, now on NVMe; Hostinger's hosting stack is the product.

BigRock's entry Standard plan is INR 69/month but hosts one website on 20 GB and renews at INR 409. Its Ultimate plan is INR 249/month, the same as Hostinger Unlimited, for 20 websites and 100 GB, renewing at INR 989 against Hostinger's INR 649.
The renewal is where it turns
For a first term BigRock is straightforwardly cheaper: INR 159 against INR 249 for a broadly similar plan. The catch arrives at renewal, where Business lands at exactly the same INR 649/month as Hostinger Unlimited while still allowing 5 websites instead of 50 and 25 GB instead of 50 GB.
Hostinger's 48-month term also postpones that renewal for four years. BigRock's terms are shorter, so the higher price arrives sooner. Auto-renew is on by default at BigRock, which is worth knowing before the first invoice rather than after.
Performance
Sites we moved from BigRock's older shared platform to Hostinger typically went from 600 ms-2 s TTFB to under 150 ms cached. That comparison is now dated: BigRock has moved to NVMe and publishes its own benchmark claiming it beats Hostinger on TTFB, LCP and full load time.
We have not re-run that test head to head, so we are not going to claim the old gap holds. What we publish is our own measurement of our own client sites on Hostinger Mumbai: 60-110 ms cached TTFB from Ahmedabad. Fresh comparative numbers go on the speed tests page when we have them.
Domains: stay at BigRock
BigRock domain pricing and management are competitive, and transferring a domain is a separate five to seven day process with its own risks. Our advice is the same as for GoDaddy: move the hosting, change the nameservers, leave the domain.
Verdict
Host on Hostinger if you run more than a couple of sites or want the four-year price lock. BigRock is a fair choice for one small site on a first term, and its Standard plan at INR 69/month is hard to argue with for a personal project, as long as you have read the INR 409 renewal. Keep the BigRock domain either way.
