Hostinger Renewal Price Explained: How to Avoid the Jump (India, 2026)

For example, Business at INR 199/month on a 48-month term renews at roughly INR 600-900/month. The fix is to buy the 48-month term up front, which locks the intro price for four years, and to set a reminder to renew before expiry when the next promotion is running.
What the renewal actually looks like
Every shared host prices this way, and Hostinger is not the worst offender, but the jump surprises people because the intro price is so low. Indicative figures for India, August 2026, before GST:

Renewal prices are shown on the pricing page in smaller text under each plan and on the checkout page. They are not hidden, but they are easy to miss when the big number says INR 139.
Why it is priced this way
Hostinger, like GoDaddy, Bluehost and HostGator, treats the first term as a customer-acquisition cost. Migrating a site is a hassle, so most customers renew at the higher rate rather than move. That is the business model. It is also why an honest comparison looks at the four-year total, not the monthly headline.
Three ways to keep paying less
1. Buy the longest term at the start. The 48-month plan locks the intro price for four years. A 12-month plan gives you one cheap year and three expensive ones. This is the single most important decision and the reason we tell every client to buy 48 months.
2. Renew early during a promotion. Hostinger lets you extend before expiry. When a Black Friday or anniversary sale is running (they run several a year), extending during the sale applies the promotional rate to the extension. Set a reminder 60 days before expiry and watch for offers.

What not to do
Do not open a new account under a different email to get the intro price again. Hostinger's terms treat it as abuse, and migrating your own site between your own accounts every four years is not worth the risk of losing it.
Do not let the plan lapse to "reset" the pricing. Hostinger keeps the site for a short grace period, then deletes it. We have rebuilt sites for people who tried this.
Is the renewal still good value?
Usually yes. Even at INR 700/month, Business is cheaper than Wix or Squarespace business plans, and much cheaper than managed WordPress hosts like WP Engine or Kinsta. Compare against the alternatives at their renewal prices too: GoDaddy and BigRock renewals in India are in the same range or higher, with weaker servers. The four-year lock is what makes Hostinger the value pick; the renewal is where it becomes ordinary.
