Hostinger Premium vs Business: Which Plan Do You Actually Need?

Quick answer
Choose Hostinger Business if your site uses a page builder like Elementor, has a blog or lead forms, or you cannot afford to lose more than a day of changes; it adds NVMe storage, daily backups and roughly double the CPU for about INR 60/month more on the 48-month term. Choose Premium only for a small static brochure site with low traffic.
The differences that matter
Hostinger's comparison table lists thirty rows. Four of them decide the question:
| Premium | Business | |
|---|---|---|
| Storage | 25 GB SSD | 50 GB NVMe |
| Backups | Weekly | Daily, plus on-demand |
| CPU / RAM allocation | 1 core, 1 GB | 2 cores, 1.5 GB |
| Free CDN | No | Yes |
| Intro price (48 mo, India) | INR 139/month | INR 199/month |
| Difference after GST over 4 years | about INR 3,400 |
NVMe versus SSD is not marketing. On the client sites we host, moving an Elementor site from Premium to Business cut Time to First Byte on uncached pages by roughly a third, because WordPress reads hundreds of small PHP files per request and NVMe handles that pattern far better.
Daily backups are the other real difference. On Premium, a plugin update that breaks the site on a Tuesday can send you back to the previous Saturday's copy. On Business you lose one day at most, and you can take a manual backup before any risky change.
When Premium is enough
- A 5-page brochure site with no blog and no page builder
- A portfolio or CV site
- A landing page for an ad campaign
- A site you update once a quarter
For these, traffic is low, pages are light, and weekly backups are tolerable because nothing changes between them.
When Business pays for itself
- Any site built with Elementor, Divi, Bricks or another page builder
- A blog that publishes regularly
- Sites with contact or quote forms that generate leads (every hour of downtime costs enquiries)
- Small WooCommerce catalogues with under 100 products and low order volume (above that, look at Cloud Startup)
- Any site where you would be upset to lose a week of edits
The INR 60/month difference works out to about INR 3,400 over four years including GST. One lost week of lead-form submissions costs more than that for most businesses we work with.
What Business does not fix
If the site is slow because of a heavy theme, twenty plugins and uncompressed images, Business will be less slow, not fast. We fix that with the free setup (LiteSpeed cache configured, image compression, lazy loading) on any plan bought through our link. And if you are running a real store or expecting a traffic spike from a campaign, neither shared plan is the right answer; that is where Cloud Startup starts.
Our pick
For a business website, Business on the 48-month term. It is the plan we put most client sites on when Cloud Startup is not in the budget. Buy through the partner link for 20% off and send us the order confirmation; we set the server location to Mumbai, install WordPress, configure caching and connect your domain at no charge.

Frequently asked questions
Is Hostinger Business worth the extra cost over Premium?
Yes for any site with a page builder, a blog or lead forms. NVMe storage, daily backups and double the CPU cost about INR 60/month more on the 48-month term, roughly INR 3,400 over four years with GST.
Can I upgrade from Premium to Business later?
Yes, from hPanel at any time. You pay the difference for the remaining term. Upgrading later costs slightly more than buying Business up front, so decide based on the site you are building.
Does Hostinger Premium include daily backups?
No. Premium has weekly backups. Business adds daily automatic backups and on-demand backups you can trigger before updates.
How many websites can I host on Premium vs Business?
Premium allows up to 25 websites and Business up to 50, but the CPU and RAM are shared across all of them, so in practice both plans suit two or three active sites.
Does Premium have the Mumbai data centre?
Yes. Both Premium and Business let you pick India as the server location during setup. Choose it if most visitors are in India; it cuts load time by 40-60% versus a US or European server.
Which plan does VGraple recommend?
Business on 48 months for a standard business site, Cloud Startup for WooCommerce or higher traffic. We only recommend Premium for small static brochure sites.
