Quick answer

For hosting a business website in India, Hostinger beats GoDaddy on speed, price and included features: Mumbai servers with LiteSpeed and NVMe, free SSL and email, and a lower four-year cost after renewals. GoDaddy keeps two advantages, phone support and domain management. Our recommendation is to host on Hostinger and, if you like, keep the domain at GoDaddy.

Speed from India

Our client sites on Hostinger's Mumbai servers return cached WordPress pages in 60-110 ms from Ahmedabad (see the speed tests page). GoDaddy shared hosting for Indian customers is frequently served from Singapore or the US and, in the sites we have migrated off it, TTFB was typically 400-900 ms cached. For a visitor in India that is the difference between a page that feels instant and one that hesitates.

The add-on problem

GoDaddy's headline price is not what you pay. SSL on lower plans, daily backups, email and "website security" are sold separately, and each renews. The sites we move off GoDaddy are usually paying for three or four add-ons that Hostinger includes. When comparing, total the GoDaddy cart at renewal prices, not the intro line.

Where GoDaddy is better

  • Phone support. If you want to call someone at 2 am, GoDaddy has it and Hostinger does not.
  • Domains. GoDaddy's domain tools, bulk management and aftermarket are stronger. There is no reason to move a domain away from GoDaddy just because you host elsewhere.
  • Microsoft 365 bundling. If your team runs on Outlook, buying 365 through GoDaddy is convenient.

The combination we recommend

Host on Hostinger, keep the domain wherever it is. Change nameservers only. This gets Mumbai speed and Hostinger's four-year price with none of the domain-transfer hassle. The migration guide walks through it, and we do it as a fixed-price service.

Cost over four years

A typical business site: Hostinger Business 48 months at INR 199 is about INR 11,300 with GST for four years. GoDaddy Deluxe at intro plus SSL and backup add-ons runs INR 20,000-30,000 over the same period once renewals kick in. Hostinger's advantage is the long lock; GoDaddy's intro terms are usually 12-36 months.

Verdict

Hosting: Hostinger, clearly. Domain: keep it where it is. Support by phone: the one reason to stay on GoDaddy, and the reason we handle support for our clients so it does not matter.

Frequently asked questions

Is Hostinger better than GoDaddy in India?

For hosting, yes: Mumbai servers, LiteSpeed and NVMe, free SSL and email, and lower renewal cost. GoDaddy is better for domain management and offers phone support.

Can I keep my GoDaddy domain and host with Hostinger?

Yes. Change the domain's nameservers at GoDaddy to Hostinger's. No domain transfer is needed.

Is GoDaddy hosting cheaper than Hostinger?

Rarely once SSL, backups and email add-ons are included and renewal prices are applied. Hostinger includes those and locks the intro price for 48 months.

Does GoDaddy have servers in India?

GoDaddy has limited Indian infrastructure; many Indian customers are served from Singapore or the US. Hostinger lets you choose Mumbai at setup.

Which has better support, Hostinger or GoDaddy?

GoDaddy offers phone and chat; Hostinger is chat only. Both are 24/7. Hostinger chat responds within minutes in our experience.

How do I move from GoDaddy to Hostinger?

Buy the Hostinger plan, copy the site with Hostinger's migration tool or a backup plugin, test on the temporary URL, recreate DNS and email records, then change nameservers at GoDaddy. Our step-by-step guide and fixed-price service cover it.
