How to Move a Wix Site to WordPress on Hostinger Without Losing Rankings

Quick answer
Wix sites cannot be exported, so moving to WordPress on Hostinger is a rebuild: map every Wix URL, recreate pages on WordPress with the same paths where possible, export blog posts via RSS, redirect every changed URL, then point the domain at Hostinger. Done carefully, rankings hold. Typical cost through VGraple is INR 24,999 for the migration plus any redesign work.
Why there is no easy way
Wix is a closed platform. There is no export of pages, design or products; only blog posts (via RSS) and, for Wix Stores, a product CSV. Everything else is recreated by hand. That sounds worse than it is: a 10-page business site is a day or two of build, and you end up with a site you own.
Should you move at all?
Move if: you need real SEO control, faster pages, a proper blog, WooCommerce with Indian payment gateways, or you are paying Wix's business plan and getting a slow site. Stay if: the site is a simple one-pager you never touch and the Wix plan is cheap. Read our Hostinger vs Wix comparison for the full case.
Step 1: Crawl the Wix site
Use Screaming Frog (free up to 500 URLs) or a similar crawler to list every URL, title, meta description and image on the Wix site. This is your migration map. Also export Google Search Console's top pages so you know which URLs carry rankings.
Step 2: Set up WordPress on Hostinger
Buy a Hostinger plan (Business for most, Cloud Startup for stores), add the domain in hPanel with India as the location, install WordPress on the temporary URL. Do not change DNS yet. Buying through our partner link gets 20% off and we do this part free.
Step 3: Rebuild pages with matching URLs
Wix URLs look like /about-us or /services/web-design. Create the same slugs on WordPress. Where the Wix URL has odd characters or a /post/ prefix for blogs, decide the new URL and note it for redirects. Copy text, re-upload images (download them from Wix at full size, compress before upload), rebuild forms with WPForms or Fluent Forms.
Step 4: Bring the blog across
Wix > Settings > Blog > export RSS, or use the WordPress RSS importer plugin with the Wix feed URL (yourdomain.com/blog-feed.xml). Check each post for broken images and fix the URLs.
Step 5: Products (Wix Stores)
Export products as CSV from Wix, import into WooCommerce with the built-in importer, then map images and variants. Payment gateway: Razorpay, PayU or Stripe via their WooCommerce plugins.
Step 6: Redirects
For every URL that changed, add a 301 redirect on WordPress (Rank Math or Redirection plugin). For URLs that stayed identical, nothing is needed. Wix itself can hold redirects only while the domain still points to Wix, so all redirects must live on the WordPress side.
Step 7: Point the domain at Hostinger
If the domain is registered with Wix: unlock and transfer it, or change nameservers in the Wix domain panel to Hostinger's. If it is registered elsewhere (GoDaddy, BigRock): change nameservers there. Keep the Wix subscription active for two weeks in case you missed something.
Step 8: Verify
Force HTTPS, resubmit the sitemap in Search Console, check every URL from your Step 1 map returns 200 or 301, and watch Search Console for 404s over the next two weeks.
Cost and time
Done yourself, a 10-page site takes a weekend plus the learning curve. Through VGraple, the Wix to WordPress migration is INR 24,999 (the large-site rate, because it is a rebuild), which includes the URL map, redirects, form rebuild, image optimisation and 14 days of post-launch checks. Design changes are quoted separately.

Frequently asked questions
Can I export my Wix website to WordPress?
No. Wix only exports blog posts (RSS) and store products (CSV). Pages, design and forms must be rebuilt on WordPress.
Will I lose SEO moving from Wix to WordPress?
Not if you keep the same URLs where possible and 301-redirect every changed one from the WordPress side, then resubmit the sitemap. Sites usually gain over time because WordPress on Hostinger is faster and has full SEO tooling.
How much does it cost to move from Wix to WordPress?
Through VGraple, INR 24,999 for the migration itself (URL map, rebuild of existing pages, redirects, forms, images, 14 days of checks). Redesign work is separate. Hostinger setup is free when you buy through our link.
Can I keep my domain when leaving Wix?
Yes. If Wix registered it, transfer it out or change nameservers in the Wix domain settings. If it is at another registrar, change nameservers there.
Will my website go offline during the move?
No, if you follow the order in this guide: build and test the copy on Hostinger first, then switch DNS. The old host keeps serving visitors until DNS propagates, so there is no gap.
Will I lose Google rankings by changing hosting?
Not if URLs stay the same. Rankings follow URLs and content, not servers. Keep the same paths, verify redirects, resubmit the sitemap in Search Console and watch for crawl errors for two weeks.
Can VGraple do the migration for me?
Yes. Standard WordPress or static site migration is a fixed INR 9,999; WooCommerce and large sites are INR 24,999. It includes DNS, SSL, email records, redirect checks and 14 days of support, and the Hostinger setup is free when you buy through our partner link.
